There is some noise coming from the steering wheel on my Mazda 3 (2.3L, 5dr Hatch). When I turned in low speed, there is grinding noise from it. Will have my dealer check it out, when I have my first oil change (3000 miles).

Any similar problem on other Mazda models ?

It's hard to tell since yours is the newest model. Have you been thru some soak and wet surface (heavy rain or flood)?

Anyway, similar problems I read in other models were all not serious and can be easily fixed by service center.

Keep us posted though.

No rain or flooding here in California. Only Earthquake, 555. Hope it won't happen soon. News said it might happen within 2 weeks due to valcano activities up north (around Seattle).

Anyway, I paid more attention this evening. No matter how fast I drive, there is always that kind of noise. Will let you know what the problem is.

I used Protege 2.0GT and got the sound when I turn only left from somewhere at the front right console but the sound is not noisy. The technicial at World Mazda said it is a leak at the power string pump for releasing the pressure. But why's only left turn?? I don't know. I still used and still got the sound now 36000km. It's ok and nothing serious.

M3 เป็นอาการนี้หลายคันครับ ของผมก็เป็น
ผมเอาไปเข้าศูนย์ที่พระราม 4 ก็ไปเจออีก 4 คัน อาการเดียวกัน
ถ้าค้นกระทู้เก่า ก็จะเจอปัญหานี้ Post ไว้แล้ว และสาเหตุก็คือสปริงที่คาลิปเปอร์มันคลายตัวได้ (ช่างเขาบอก) เอามาปรับแก้เสียก็หาย
วันนี้เลยไปทิ้งรถไว้ เย็นนี้ไปรับคงรู้ครับ แต่ช่างเขารู้อาการ และสาเหตุแล้ว เขาบอกว่าเป็นกันหลายคันมาก แต่ก็แก้ไขได้ไม่ยากครับ
