เท่าที่ทราบ อินดี้คาร์เร็วกว่า...
เพราะ F1 ถูกจำกัดปริมาตรกระบอกสูบ และไม่ให้ติดระบบอัดอากาศ
รวมไปถึงระบบแอร์โร่ ไดนามิค บางแบบก็ไม่อนุญาติให้ใช้
ว่ากันว่า F1 รุ่นปี 1999 - 2000 นี่เร็วที่สุดครับ
หลังจากนั้นก็มีนโยบาย กำหนดข้อจำกัดต่างๆ เพื่อให้รถมีสมรรถนะ ลดลง วิ่งช้าลง
เพราะเหตุผลด้านความปลอดภัยของนักแข่งครับ
(อันนี้เพิ่งรู้ หลังจากดูดิสโคเวอรี่ ชันแนล)

มั่วแล้วท่าน บาส
INDY นี่ท่านหมายถึง IRL (Indy Racing League) หรือ Champcar (CART) กันแน่ เพราะ CART ก็เคยแข่งในรายการ Indy 500 เหมือนกัน

ผมไม่ได้ติดตาม IRL เลย (มีให้ดูทาง star sport) แต่ Champcar ยังติดตามอยู่บ้าง แต่ที่ตามติดจริงๆ คือ F1 ครับ นอกนั้นก็มี FIA GT, International F3, F3000 พวก ALMS และ Endurance ก็พอตามอยู่บ้างนิดหน่อย

ถามว่าต่างกันอย่างไร ต่างกันมากทั้งกฏและลักษณะสนามการแข่งขัย

ลักษณะสนาม

F1 - Road course , Street Course
IRL - Oval Only
Champ car - Oval, Road course , Street Course

เครื่องยนต์

F1 - 3.0 L 10 สูบ (ไม่ได้กำหนดไว้ว่าต้องเป็น V10 นะ ชอบคิดกันไปเอง ต้องเป็น 4 จังหวะด้วย) และห้ามระบบอัดอากาศใดทั้งสิ้น และต้องมี valve ไม่เกิน 5 valve ต่อสูบ (แต่ไม่มีใครทำครับ ทำ 4 valve ต่อสูบทั้งนั้นแหละ) ทราบไหมครับว่าเครื่อง 053 ของ Ferrari ปีนี้มีน้ำหนักประมาณ 87-88 kg เอง

IRL - 3.5L V8 พร้อมกับกำหนดรอบสูงสุดของเครื่องยนต์ size ต่ำสุด รวมถึงน้ำหนักของเครื่องด้วย (ถ้าจำไม่ผิดนะ)

Champcar - 2.65L V8 Turbo เดี่ยว ใช้ Methanol เป็นเชื้อเพลิง ปีนี้กำหนดไว้ว่า boost ได้ไม่เกิน 41.5 inch ปรอท ในสนาม Road . Street course และ 39 inch ปรอท ใน oval track (ค่านี้เป็น absolute pressure นะครับ) ถ้าเป็นค่าแบบที่บ้านเราชอบพูดก็ประมาณ 5.6 ปอนด์สำหรับ 41.5 inch อ้อ ห้ามมี intercooler ด้วย

คร่าวๆ แค่นี้คงพอนะครับ ถ้าไม่พอหรือสงสัยก็ถามได้ครับ

อ้อ เคยมีคนบอกว่าที่กรรมการเข็นรถ shumi ในการแข่งปีที่แล้ว (Nurburgring) นะผิดกฎแต่เพราะเป็น Ferrari เลยไม่มีใครว่า ลองอ่านนี้กฎนี่ดู

2003 sporting regulations

151) If a car stops during the race (except under Article 143c) and d), it must be removed from the
track as quickly as possible so that its presence does not constitute a danger or hinder other
competitors. If the driver is unable to drive the car from a dangerous position, it shall be the duty of the
marshals to assist him.If any such assistance results in the engine starting and the driver rejoining the
race, the car will be excluded from the results of the race.


2004 sporting regulations

ได้หรือไม่ตัดสินกันเองนะครับ

และรอบที่ขึ้นมาให้เห็นใน TV นะใช้เสียงเป็นตัววัดนะ ไม่ได้มาจาก telemetry หรอกครับ

คุณบาส ปีนี้นะเร็วที่สุด มันเร็วขึ้นทุกปีแหละ แต่ปีหน้าไม่แน่ กฎใหม่(Draft) พยายามลด Downforce ลง โดยลดขนาดของ rear diffuser และยกปีกหน้าให้สูงขึ้น จาก Datalog / Telemetry ปีนี้ แรง g ที่เกิดจากการ brake ทะลุ 6.0 g แล้วนะครับ

เรื่องยาง F1 ที่บอกว่า soft หรือ hard ถ้าจะพูดให้ถูกต้องเป็น softer หรือ harder ครับ เป็นเชิงเปรียบเทียบในแต่ละการแข่งขันในแต่ละสนามครับซึ่งผู้ผลิตยางจะนำมาให้แต่ละทีมๆ ละ 2 compound ในแต่ละสนามครับ ไม่ได้มีแค่ 2 compound ตลอดฤดูกาล

เช่น soft compound ที่ใช้ในสนาม catalunya (spain) จริงๆแล้วเนื้อยางแข็งกว่า (harder) ยาง hard compound ที่ใช้ในการแข่งที่ Montreal หรือ ที่ Nurburgring อีกครับ เพราะ สนาม Catalunya เป็นสนามที่ abrasive สูงที่สุดในการแข่ง F1 ครับ
